New Releases Coming Up On Jazz from Gallery 41...

"The Evolution of Oneself"
Pianist Orrin Evans has a new trio date on the Smoke Sessions label with Christian McBride playing bass, and Karriem Riggins on drums, also joined by on a couple tracks by either Marvin Sewell on guitar or vocalist JD Walter.

Pianist Chick Corea is joined with Bela Fleck playing banjo on their first recording on Concord Jazz since 2006.  "Two" is a double-album of multi-year live recordings while the grammy winning duo was on tour.

Guitarist and singer John Pizzarelli has a new release on the Concord label performing material from Paul McCartney's rich musical catalog. With orchestrations by Don Sebesky featuring the likes of Larry Goldings, Michael McDonald, Harry Allen, Helio Alves, Bucky Pizzarelli and others. I had the extreme pleasure of meeting John when I emceed his show at the recent San Jose Summer Jazz Festival.  He told me about this new recording, truly excited about it and now it is finally here for us.
