Organist Brian Charette: 2 new releases for 2014 - "Square One" on Posi-Tone & "The Question That Drives Us" on SteepleChase

Found a nice message in my email box today from organist Brian Charette who is in Prague until June of this year.  Brian has two new releases for 2014, both of them excellent recordings.

"Square One" is his first recording for the Posi-Tone label and it features Yotam Silberstein on guitar along with drummer Mark Ferber.

Square One

"The Question That Drives Us" is a sequel to his first Organ Sextette recording on SteepleChase records.  Here he is joined by Itai Kriss (flute), Mike DiRubbo (alto saxophone), Joel Frahm (tenor saxophone), John Ellis (bass clarinet) and Jochen Reuckert (drums).

The Question That Drives Us

Brian Charette is a really BAD cat, and I mean that in the nicest way.  All of his recordings are worthy of a listen and should be in every Jazz lover's collection.
