Live on Jazz from Gallery 41: Ferenc Nemeth, Lionel Loueke, Daniel Szabo...It's Called Improvise....

It's Monday evening and I just got off the phone with Ferenc Nemeth, who at the moment is in Los Angeles, CA aftere a couple of successful gigs at Vitello's and the Hungarian Cultural Center.  Had been trying to hook up with him for a few days, and yes we finally spoke. Darn technology doesn't always make it easy to connect.

They are landing at a local airport at around 10 am, I will pick them up and bring them to my studio here in the Berkeley Hills...all three of them...and once here, like I said, we'll be improvising.  Never know, there may be some live music...there certainly will be some conversation...and unfortunately I can not at this moment give you an exact time...just that it will be sometime between 10:30 am and perhaps noon or so pacific time.  I know, it all sounds a bit abstract, but the best advise I can give you is just logged onto the stream at about that time, and you may just hear some really terrific live music.

I was at the show at Yoshi's last night and Ferenc mentioned the interview with you. Is there an archive to access so I can listen to the interview?

Erik....Thanks for your message. I was at the Yoshi's show also. Fantastic, absolutely terrific playing by all. Yes, I've received several messages asking the same question, and I do plan to rebroadcast the interview from yesterday, as well as the performance by Ferenc, Lionel, and David that happened here in our studios along with a conversation I recorded with Ferenc back in September. Perhaps on our Friday afternoon show at 2 pm Pacific.
