Jazz on 4th - Benefit For Berkeley High Jazz Programs

On Sunday May 16th I am proud to say that I will be the M.C. at the 15th Annual Jazz on Fourth Benefit Music Festival For Berkeley High School Jazz Programs. Location: 4th Street at Hearst in Berkeley, CA. Time: 12 to 5 PM. Free To The Public.

"The Berkeley High Jazz Program is widely recognized as one of the foremost jazz programs for high school students in this country. It has provided unparalleled opportunites for BHS students to develop world class musical skills, has produced numerous internationally known jazz talents, and has been a great source of pride to the BHS community for over three decades. "

Fourth Street Shops and KCSM 91 is thrilled to present this 15th Annual, free outdoor music festival in support of the Berkeley High School Jazz Program! Over the past 14 years this festival has raised over $125,500 for the music program and we are continuing this year with special performances by the award winning Berkeley High Jazz Combos, Jazz Mafia with Crystal Monee Hall, Zakiya Hooker, Fito Reinoso and a grand finale with the Berkeley High Jazz Ensemble. Merchants of Fourth Street donate to a raffle and line the street with their own activities and merchandise. Food booths offer specialty menus just for this day plus neighors Trumer Brauerei and Takara Sake have graciously agreed to join us again with their finest festival adult beverages...not to mention free, professional face painting for the kids! We hope you can join us for this family friendly event.
